Personal Training:
As the owner and operator of Seacoast Fitness I bring extensive knowledge and experience to the health & fitness industry. I began as a Group Fitness Instructor back in 1999. I still currently teach group exercise at my facility which is a great complement to someones personal fitness program as well as personal training being an interesting complement to someones personal fitness program. I became interested in the Personal Training field while working at my fitness position at the Northern York County YMCA. I have been involved in exercise personally from my high school days up until now.
Experience:
My experience lies is different areas of the population. I get the most satisfaction when training the general population because I want them to recognize and understand how the benefits of exercise will improve their quality of life, combat disease and reap benefits for them the rest of their lives.
I also enjoy working with the advanced exerciser who is looking for a new program and is looking to work more intensly, whether its training for a sport or a recreational exerciser.
Active Older Adults are another favorite population of mine because for the most part they are trying to improve their quality of life, or following doctors orders to exercise. Communicating with the doctor is an important factor in their program since they can be confused as to what this actually means, especially if they have not been used to a workout program in a gym setting. I have worked with many people with chronic diseases including diabetes, heart conditions, COPD & others .
Post Rehab is another area that I have alot of experience in. Working closely with physcial therapists has provided me with alot of experience. I have a good affiliation with Wells Physical Therapy for post rehab. but will work closely with any physcial therapist if needed. Whether you are recovering from and injury, joint replacement or being released from physcical therapy I will provide you with the safest program for your particular situation.
