Dear Member and Friends, 5-21-20
We will not be able to open up on June 1, as we thought. Governor Mills estimates June 11, but the way we have been going, I don’t think that can be guaranteed either. Since I am able to hold classes outside (weather permitting of course) This will be the schedule for now;
Monday 9:00 am- 10:00 am with Joan “Mixed Bag”
10:15-11:15 am Silver Sneakers Circuit.
Wednesday- 9:00-10:00 am with Joan “Cardio Intervals”
10:15-11:15 am with Joan Silver Sneakers Classic
Thursday- 9:00 - 10:15 am Yoga with Joan
Friday – 9:00-10:00 am with Joan “3-2-1”
10:15-11:15 am with Joan Silver Sneakers Circuit
MIXED BAG If you’re looking for a core workout, look no more, using various fitness tools such as weights, Bender Ball®, resistance bands & your own body weight you will find the ultimate combination of exercise to increase strength in a total body workout. It will also include balance work & basic Yoga asanas.
SILVER SNEAKERS CIRCUIT®- Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular & muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-Body Strength work with handheld weights, elastic tubing w/handles and a Silver Sneakers ball is alternated with low-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is used for standing support/stretching & relaxation.
Silver Sneakers Classic®- Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement & activities for daily living. Handheld weights, elastic tubing w/handles and a Silver Sneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated and standing support.
3-2-1 A little bit of everything! A great beginner class. Here you will do 30 minutes of easy to follow low-impact cardio combinations, 20 minutes of weights followed by 10 minutes of stretching. A great class you are sure to love!!
To offer these classes we will need at least a 5-person minimum. Sign up is required at 207-646-6898 or through email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will post the results of this poll by the end of the week so we can potentially get started next week.
WHAT IS REQUIRED BY EACH PERSON ATTENDING CLASSES;
· A simple waiver must be signed
· Social Distancing of 6 ft.
· Bring your own mat
· You will be allowed to use the restrooms if needed
· Sanitizer for hands and equipment will be provided.
**If you are interested in personal training, please give me a call and we can arrange a time to meet to discuss your needs and the goals you wish to accomplish.
**”NEW” FOR YOU- personal training for “TWO” still providing social distancing and safe programming. This could work well with a friend or a soulmate. When two people are trained with each other, you get better insight on what’s to be expected of each other. You can use each other as competition, if you’re the competitive type. You can provide support for each. You can boost each other’s mood in a positive way should one have a negative state of mind. The program will consider both of your fitness levels and goals.
To our Valued Members and Guests, 5/10/20
I hope you are all well and safe! I want to thank you for your patience during this unprecedented and challenging time. We have not received clear direction from State Officials as to our guidelines to re-openening on June 1, but we want you to be confident that our primary objective will be the safety and well-being of both our team and our clients. Our newly developed standards and protocols will continue to adapt and evolve as additonal information to our guidelnes become available. Please expect further communication prior to reopening detailing our safety guidelines and procedures. Our team is very much looking forward to welconing you back to the gym with enormous appreciation for your loyalty.
To my Members/Friends & Guests,
Stage 2 re-opening plan for gyms will be posted on Thurs, 5/20. Please pray that Govenor Mills does not extend the re-opening until 5-11-20, because if she does I will be protesting along with everyone else! I will at that time be posting the Post-COVID-19 Group Exercise Schedule, along with my own protocols. As we know, this crisis has made many changes in our daily routines and our lives in general. These changes will also be reflected at our gym. Everything that I develop is for your safety and our staff. Hope to see you soon, stay well and hang in!!
